VSH Video Program

How To Sleep Better!

Many people who originally were planning to watch Dr. Rogers' live talk on Sunday, August 16, 2026, had to miss it when Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lala triggered a historic loss of power across Hawaii -- about 2/3 of households were without power when this talk started at 11 a.m. HST! Dr. Rogers still had an audience with our loyal participants drawn from across the mainland US, and including a few of us from Hawaii, too. But, you can now watch it (see below)!

Peter Rogers, MD

Watch it from anywhere on our vshvideo channel on YouTube, or via vsh.org/videos.
On Oahu, watch his presentation on VSH's 1-hour Vegan program on ʻOlelo Channel 54 at 11 a.m. HST on Sundays October 4, October 11 and October 18.

Or, watch it live-streamed at the same time as above (adjust start time for your time zone) on https://olelo.org (select channel 54 on the right hand side of the screen).

On Sunday, September 6, our VSH group shared the dining hall in the club house with a resident's birthday party potluck - we all got along since it is a very big room, plus we actually knew 4 other residents at that gathering, too.
Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We had a good group of Vegan regulars plus a new lady (Julie - Nancy’s sister) who brought the guacamole combo.
The winner of the best dish award went to Donna Marie Norstadt for her Spinach Tofu Quiche (2nd photo). Vigil Alkana (our food judge) awarded Donna with a gift card from Papaya’s Market.

There were lots of lunch dishes to choose from, including Robin Shannon’s dessert of Russian Tea Cakes.
